I believe that the prewriting activity I chose to do was very useful when preparing to write my essay. I was able to order my thoughts logically before I began writing my paper which helped me stay organized. When revising my essay I had to focus on adding more of my personal “I say” to the essay. I used quoted material correctly and knew how to incorporate it into my writing. However, I needed to revise what I wrote to support the quoted material. I used the comments my peers left on my essay as a guideline as to what needs the most focus on revising. I feel happy with the outcome of my final draft. I made a lot of substantial changes from my first draft that really showed that I was focused of elaborating more on the “I say” part of the assignment.
